Default BBK & Rims

I plan to get a BBK but which ones I don't know yet. On the low end it could be the Supra TT setup.

I originally wanted to get the chrome wheels from the '06-'07 GS series but the BBK will not fit. Pic from one of LexArazzo posts:

So I am now thinking about getting these chrome rims from a G35. The specs are : 18x8, 5 on 4.5, with a 30mm offset. I believe all G35 and 350Z's are high disk to fit the Brembos BBK. So it should fit the BBK's and hopefully Supra TT if I decide to go that route at the beginning since it is cheap to get the Suptra TT compared to the others.

What do you guys think? Would the rims fit in regards to the hub and offset be ok? Would it look good on the SC430's ?

Hmm, others can chime in there, the offset seems about right but the style of the wheel on the inside troubles me. The Supra TT require the most clearance of any BBK kit.

i have seen those wheels clearing the supra tt brakes, so that's definitely safe. in fact that's what i have for my spare wheels now.

style wise it's personal, i am not sure if they will look good on the sc430. keep in mind they won't be hub centric

So on our Lexus, do we need to get a wheel that is hubcentric? Other cars like Infinity does not need hubcentric wheels then?

If we get aftermarket wheels, does it need to be hubcentric to have perfect fit like the factory ones?

Please explain because I am not really know much in this area.

Thanks

well you don't NEED to get hub centric, but it's preferred and to help you center the wheel better. a lot of the jdm wheels you get they aren't hub centric as well

i'm also using a G35 rim as a spare in my trunk (gs). It clears the Supra TT calipers with plenty of space.

I think I will. I hope they don't run too much more then the G35's.

I kind of like these but don't know what brand or model they are.

Here is what I saw in a Post on CL.

for aftermarket wheels, expect to spend more than that of the g35s. factory wheels are usually much cheaper than aftermarket (usually, not always). especially the stock g35 18s. there is a reason why i can afford them in my trunk as spare
