Quarter Window mod.. Done!

absolutely sick. nice detail that brings out the best in the coupe attributes to this car, e.g., unbroken roofline.
if you have more pics they would be very appreciated, especially side shots with top up, windows down and top down with windows up.
this is going to be a very popular mod.

Hipendicul, GREAT work on this mod! It really take me back to the old CL days with members innovating new detail mods to improve their cars!
Although its not a simple mod, its well worth the work and judging by the labor involved you will not have many followers (other than the local guys that will now be stalking you day and night to do it for them!) lol
The lowering on your car makes the mod stand out even more! Once again great job and enjoy.

Thanks to Ken, finally got the window mod done. Let me tell everyone, Ken has done A LOT of research on this, including his "trial(s) and error(s)".
Ken, I finally got the switch placed exactly where you put it. Besides the blister on my finger, which I don't know how I got, I am really enjoying the mod. Oh, and you right. I get a lot more stares from other SC owners because it looks different. Thanks again.

Dan, where's the pics and damn, too bad we ran over on time as I wanted a pic of both cars with the windows dropped... Damn, next time..
But after "supervising" dans install, I'm thinking it may be possible to offer a "Kit" for this mod. I think I'll start a poll to see what everyone thinks.

Ooops, I guess my post about wanting to know if these kits were going to be worth my time was a violation of CL rules.. Sorry guys, there will be no kits and now I have an infraction for comitting some CL felony..

Wow nice work...
Like D2 said... It's like the old days when members were innovating. We're a dying breed.
We have a new SC430 in the family and I may just try this. Seems simple enough from your explanation, basically removing control from the top computer with a pair of relays then adding your own window style switch. So simple it's genius.
First I need to uninstall the horrific nokia handsfree the previous owner installed. YEECHHHHH. It's got a giant brick cradle bolted to the side of the radio and an antenna on the windsheild.
Car is currently with half the interior removed.
Again man, nice work. It's refreshing to see fellow innovators out there doing their thing.
