I went to my local Lexus dealership to order a new 07 since my 05 was recently totaled (see A Bittersweet Day posting), and the sales associate tells me that the Saddle leather color is no longer available and attempts to convince me that Camel is the new Saddle. He must either be new or something is very wrong here. Not being in the mood for games I told him to find one, and I really don’t care if they have to put one on a boat for me.
He then starts in on some story that all the dealerships across the country only order so many per year and they must be completely sold out. Did I mention that I was not in the mood for silly games? So I ask him; if Saddle is not available, then why would Lexus still have it as a color option on the website, or made the investment in printing marketing portfolios with that color option especially so early into the model year. All I got was a deer in the headlights look.
I guess I’ll wait for my regular sales associate to come back from vacation, I know he is a pro and does not play games.
Am I asking or expecting too much here? Is the White with Sadlddle and Walnut so hard to get? I just want the same color combination as my 05.
Very strange in my opinion.

I just bought a 2003 SC430 Silver, with saddle interior from a private seller. A doctor. Only 35k miles and has new tires and TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Chrome wheels. Paid $34,500......
Soon as my bank pays the guy I'll be driving it.... hehehe
