Default SC430 wheels

Like many SC430 owners, I have replaced the original wheels with aftermarket wheels. This raises the issue of how to dispose of the OEM wheels. Is there any market for them? If so, what's the best route to finding a buyer for them?

Ebay, classified forums here, or keep them & put them back on the car when you sell or trade-in the car. Most dealers prefer OEM wheels on their trade-in, that's what I've decided to do, I may keep this car til it dies though, but I am still keeping the OEM rims/tires in my garage.

I sold the car to a private party who didn't want the OEM wheels. Therefore, I have to dispose of them.

Thanks. I'll try CL and see what happens. First, I've got to get rid of the tires that are mounted on them and take some photos.

I definitely would advise keeping the tires on them even if they're worn because most who would be interested in buying them at this point only want them as a back up, or to trade the car back in to the dealer and need at least some sort of rubber on them......just my 2 cents. It wouldn't hurt.

You make a good point. But it would certainly be a lot easier and less expensive to ship the wheels without the tires. I suppose it would be necessary to crate them. (I have boxes that I could ship the wheels in.)

I concur, I had a tire shop remove the tires from my OEM wheels. They sliced two of the almost new tires and then scratched two rims. I lost almost 50% of the value. Keep the tire on and do not risk the lost.

its because they are freakin runflats. they have stiff walls. i know. a wheel shop damaged two of my wheels trying to get runflats off. and it took two days. and still destroyed the beading.
so yeah, keep em on.

Thanks for all the advice, guys. I just looked up Bridgestone RE040s on the Tirerack and see that they are $333 apiece. I was thinking that my used tires would have no value, but now I think that they probably do have some value.
