Default HEADLIGHTs - GUESS WOT...

I am not sure if this was on here before but:
This baby here - done it!

I am trying to get in touch with the owner for details... maybe this conversion will be a easy but expensive way to go...

Trust me, I have been trying to dig out the info on those Japanese forums for a while, but no one seems to give out the detail info yet.
Maybe some members here know, but just don't care to share.

As I just answered a few members via PMs, the vendors here should be the one who find out all the info for us, so they can sell us more stuffs. Not the other way around, correct?

To tell if a SC is a truely 06+, just look at its interior. It is the shift plate that tells us its true identity.

If I am correct, the 06 SC from Answer is also a 06 conversion.
It would be a lot easier that the vendors like Carson Toyota here can ask Answer for us because we will most likely order these parts from them anyway.

I can't imagine how much it will cost just the front headlight alone!!!! Did a member post a for sale post on those bad boys before????? Seriously I wasn't digging for those headlight when they first come out. Now that stupid Rich had to post that white SC with tom's full kit and HID fogs on Dan_K's post and made me drooling since then... Stop this madness Rich!!!!!! (BTW, Henry and I went to Ding-Tah-Fong couple weeks ago. We were talking about you... heehee)

Guilty as charged.

I thought you have that JDM HID fog, but couldn't figure out how to make it work.
I had a chance to buy the 06 headlight (including HID bulb, motor and harness) for $850, but I didn't have the courage to bite the bullet.

Damn you two, you went to Ding Tah Fong without me being around.
What did the best Chinese dumpling they serve taste like to you?

Man, you sure know where to rob people. Send those to my way and I will bite the bullet for you... heehee... you bet the HID conversion will be done soon or later!!!!!

About the dumpling, all I can say is WE WERE CONTAINED!! LOL

But seriously though, back to this headlight conversion thing. Japanese are known to do this kind of swap. When the prior version of the LS came out, the mod society in Japan gone to the distance to alter the hood, fender and bumper just to have their old LS front looks like the newer version. The question is WHO IS GOING TO BE THE FIRST HERE!!

very nice. from looking at it, my guess is maybe you just need a new bumper. maybe that's all you need huh? i don't know, i really like the fact that the 06 headlights are clear lens, that's my complain on the 02-05. but other than that i might still prefer the style of the 02-05 myself.

not to mention that i am sooo broke right now two brand new headlights, they will probably run for around 1200 each i think.

and hid fogs, man i want it bad......

omg, rich, ding tai fong, it's sooo good mark is really generous, he left like maybe 20+ dumplings for me @_@

I ve been to my dealer today to check out part numbers, etc...

Well in short: The conversion will be tooooooo expensive - roughly more than 3500 USD (worst case scenario)... and it's unclear if things work fine. Also the computer (located under the drivers side panel) which drives the AFL cost more than 1400 USD.

So all in all this attempt makes you a poor man at the end...
