Default Just picked up an 04

I traded in my RX330 for a 04 SC with 23k mi. This would make my 5th Lexus, had the following: 99 GS430, 03 GS300, 04 LS430, and 04 RX330, I think Im going to try and own every model before I die lolz.

Have a question for you guys, Im trying to figure out the color of my SC. Its a really dark green almost black in certain angles and the interior is black with this kinda mocha brown color that I really like. The dash and part of the door panels are black but the rest is brown. I was told that this combo came off of some limited run of the color. Id like to know the exact name of the color combo.

Thanks!

This dark green is called "midnight pine pearl "in Canada, although I think they have a different name for it in USA. The interior orange brown leather is called "saddle".

That is a rare color. I have only seen it once in person.

Welcome to the circle. Dudes are copping sc430's left and right this week. That color combo is beautiful. Power to the saddle people!! I've always admired it on Jaguars. Do you miss the LS430? What's the difference for you now sitting behind the wheel? I came oh so close to getting one as it was my second choice when shopping for the SC. Funny thing is I never actually drove one yet.

I've had a few Lexi myself... '99 SC300, '01 GS300, '03 SC430, '03 GS300. Moved to Acura and Infiniti for awhile, but slowly coming back.

The Midnight Pine Pearl/Saddle combo is beautiful! Very rare, so you're lucky you snagged one. My '03 had a Saddle interior. Never got tired of it. Went with Camel w/ Expresso wood this time around because I liked it with Smoky Granite. You will love your SC!

Enjoy, and welcome.

Default Thanks

I'm planning on taking it to my buddy's detail place and get it done. There is a huge amount of swirls and smudges that is in need of some wet sanding and nice wax.

Do you guys know if if the BBK from an 04 LS430 will fit on the SC?? Ive got a brand new Rotora 6 piston BBK sitting in my garage, intended for my LS, but never installed. My pads are at about 15% left so I need to change them soon, if the LS kit fits or slight modification or even another bracket than I can finally use them.

Of all the Lexus rides Ive had, I think overall the LS is the most luxurious, with the Tein CS coilovers I had, it was much more aggressive. I wouldn't have bought the LS if I wanted it to be stock. I had the full WALD kit, Lexion 20s, and suspension, but I cracked the kit in 4 places like 3 times so I went to a RX, which turned out to be a little small, then I had the opportunity to pick up the SC with such low miles.

Overall, my favorite is probably still the GS, enough room, sporty, and fun to drive. The LS is a real boat stock and most parking spaces are a tight fit, if I didnt fold in the mirrors, it wouldnt fit in my garage. As for the SC, its been my 2nd day driving it, I love the hardtop convertible, had a CLK convertible before and noise was an issue. The SC doesnt have that problem, the suspension is a little harsher but Im sure Ill get used to it.

Do you have the runflat tires on the SC430 ? If so, switching to non-runflats will give you a much better ride & handling.

Get a nice set of Michelin Pilot Sports. You will definitely appreciate the difference.

Take a look at the sidewall of your tire. Does it say RFT or runflat?

If you are running on sc430 stock wheels, I doubt your bbk will fit.
You can PM Pearlpower for more info.

Indeed, very rare color. Only seen it once at a secluded corner at a dealership, not outside in the yard, as if they wanted to hide it! I remember the salesman said he wanted to show me something special. It belonged to someone there and was not for sale.Congrats on your new ride

Default Did I get a good deal?

I checked KBB before purchase, seems like I was getting a good deal. What do you guys think?

04 with 23k mi... I paid $41k. KBB had it from $43500 wholesale to $47000 retail.

Don't second guess your purchase. If you love the car, you got a good deal!

BTW, Edmunds says $43,446, so it looks like you did well...

Just saw it says runflat on the sidewalls of my tires. Can I just swap them out and install new wheels and tires? will it cause a warning light or anything I have disable or change to do this?
