Default Has anyone tried replacing wood trim on SC?

I'm not a huge fan of the light coffee color of my SC's interior (the price was just too good not to get it). Has anyone tried to replace it? I have seen black wood trim on Pebble Beach edition with ecru leather and it looks a LOT nicer. Any idea how much this conversion would cost?

Knowing Lexus OEM parts, the wood grain will definitely be expensive but I would suggest doing this since the option is there. Nothing is better than OEM, I've come to figure this out. And NEVER settle for those crappy dash trim kits that never fit.

Your alternative would be to remove all of the woodgrain trim from your car, pack it up in a box and ship it to Florida where www.patterntek.com is located. I just shipped mine out Saturday, they received it today and I should my wood grain back in golden birds eye maple wood in 2 weeks.

Before you decide on the black wood from the Pebble Beach edition, check out the Expresso wood that comes with the Camel interior. Yeah, I'm a little biased, but it would look great with Ecru and would probably be less expensive since there is more availability.

Does www.patterntek.com recondition the wood? I want a different color. How much does OEM kit cost? Has anyone tried replacing it or do I need to go to a dealer?

Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks,

Email patterntek (KING_PIN305@comcast.net) for a quote, tell him Calvin referred you and he'll take care of you. He'll need you to measure because he charges by the inch.

for you OEM needs (I'd suggest this method as your first option but more expensive) call Carson Toyota and ask for the pebble beach edition full wood trim replacement.

Either way, you have 2 very great options to choose from, can't fail with that!

Default I want new trim too!!

First off. the last two years of my life have been the best years of my life. I don't even remember what my terrible exist was like before I purchased my Lexus SC430.

BACK to TRIM.

My wood trim looks almost yellow. It's very bright birds eye. It still looks cool, but I'd like to swap it out with a darker birds eye. Any suggestions? Anyone know about cost?

OR salvage yard with sc430s?

JC
