I try to avoid Lexus dealer for small maintaince/repairs such as oil change. Does anyone know whether it's worth going to the dealer for wheel alignment or will any tire shop do the job just as well?
Thanks in advance!

I had my alignment done at the dealer after the inside front tread wore out. They were fantastic. I spoke with the mechanic for 15 minutes as he wanted to make sure I would get the results I wanted. Cost $89, and the tire wear is even now.

I went to a shop locally that sells tons of Michelin Sports for Porches, Beemer, Benz, and Lexus. I have purchased three sets of tires from him. He has a four wheels laser set up with computer sotfware that is specific to each car. The left rear wheel was .30 out from the factory on my 430 and the tire was scrubbed off (I bought it wiht 29k on it). You can call him in the Palm Springs area (Marty at 760 341-1373), he can tell you the brand of the system, call the factory and get a local shop. They send out new software every year as the new models come out. I had a 1994 twin turbo Supra pumping out 500 hp, he aligned for me and it was like satin, even a high speeds.
