I have silver with the black. I ruled out the saddle upon first look. It looks too much like a baseball glove to me and I hate the combo with the wood color. I like the ecru, but don't like the light birds eye wood. The ecru would look good with the dark wood. Being convertable, the light interior will require much up keep from road dust and body oils from sweat if you wear shorts while driving. I bought my car in FL and the black is not as hot as you would expect. It also hides the dirt while looking amazing when treated. Silver and black is the ONLY combination in my eyes.

 

When I was searching for my SC430, I only wanted one with the Saddle leather interior. I had a Jaguar once with the Ivory (like Ecru) and never did like the light color. Also, the light color wood that comes with Ecru, looks like a Fiat Spyder that I once owned. Ugh!

Although, I selected Blue/Saddle, I thought the Gold or Green exterior colors looked nice, with Saddle of course. In my search, I saved photos from the internet of cars that I considered. Here is a photo of the Saddle interior on a Silver 2002 SC430:

 

Good advice is never outdated, but in this case, you might have a point...
