Default Smooth & Comfortable

Hi Guys,

Well, I just got my new SC - beautiful! Very excited!! It's an '03 with 47K and it came with runflats that need replacing. Fortunately I read the posts on runflats and have decided against them. After driving the car I totally understand the comments. So now the question is what to replace them with?

I saw that Lexus recommends ZRs. Whew! Am I ever going to go 186 mph? I don't think so. I'm a pretty conservative driver. What I want is as smooth and comfortable as possible. Not being a tire expert I don't know if lesser rated tires are smoother (i.e. H or V) but if they give a better ride then so be it.

Bottom line recommendations would be appreciated!

Thanks to anybody who can help!

http://www.discounttiredirect.com The Pirelli P-Zero Nero have received good reviews. I have a 2002 and took the run flats off immediately and replaced them with Falken Azenis which they sell for $119. Had them only 6,000 miles and seem to wearing well but are very quiet and provide a nice ride.

Default Thanks...

Thanks Teeman and Fred 430 for the replies! After much research I went with the Bridgestone Potenza 960AS Pole Position. I'll let you know what I think. Should be getting them installed today.

RCW,, we installed the Potenzas on our '04 a month ago... totally different car versus the runflats as most others in the forum express. IMHO, the runflat ride was a serious issue for me - now that's gone and we can enjoy the car..

Any conventional tires will give you a better ride quality than the runflats. Just go for the cheapest ones and you will still feel the big difference.
