Passport SR-7/SRX built-in radar install instructions
Has anyone installed Passport SR-7 or SRX?
I searched this site but didn't find anything detailed on how to install any of these radars.
So far I have 2 questions:
1) Where is the whole from the hood/trunk into the cabin?
2) How do you adjust the sensors to make sure they're pointing straight ahead/behind the car to be the most effective?
Thanks for any help!

I did it a few weeks ago. It's not a bad install but you have to take many things apart to do it correctly. To get from the rear bumper to the cabin you'll need to take out all the trunk panels except for the wheel wells, remove the back seat and the door sills. There is a hole between the trunk and the cabin on the passenger side. From there you can route the wire across the back seat to the door sills. The door sills have just enough room to run the wire and you can get it up to the drivers side by the emergency brake pedal. If you mount the rear shifter by the rear license plate you will have to be careful where you drill the hole though the bumper cover. The real bumper is about 4 or 5" wide and you will need to avoid it. I used the taillight wire grommet to get the wire back into the trunk. Also it will probably be better to splice the wire at some point so you are not dragging the connector though all the tight spots you are going to be going through. The shifter mounts to the the rear license plate so there is not an aiming issue other than do not block the license plate lights and lower is supposed to be better.

BT, Can you please post pictures?
I never took a car apart, but from your description, sounds like I have to disasseble the whole interior of the car.

I didn't take any pictures as I was installing it. If you don't want to do it yourself take it to an installer. I've heard prices of 200-300 range for the install. Looking back at it that may have been a good option as it is a pretty good bit of work.
