Thumbs up Rotora 4-Pistons Installed F & R

I've been talking about it for a long time, but I finally upgraded to BBK's for front and rear. I went with 4-piston Rotoras for F & R's. 14" fronts / 13" rear rotors.
The rears are actually the ones that Lee (pearlpower) had sold a few months ago to Bill (TexasGS). Bill is looking at hooking up with an E55 AMG, so he decided to sell the rears and the fronts which he'd used for a short while on his GS430.
The toughest part was trimming the backplates and grinding and painting them so they looked good.
I don't normally go with crossdrilled and slotted rotors, but it was a good deal and couldn't pass it up (thanks again, Bill!).
I thought about painting the calipers, but I think I like the light metallic blue. I can always paint them if I decide otherwise.
Yes, it does stop much better.

Looks great! Got your PM on them. Amazing how my stuff just gets around so fast (brakes, blitz intake...). Glad you went with the blue color as they do look good on the silver. So, your impressions?

I like the blue myself.!!
It's more subtle and goes nicely with your car.!!

So Bill is really going to get the 55, eh?
Nice.!!

Thanks guys. I've been out of town - sorry it took so long to respond.

I agree, I think I'll stay with the blue.

Lee- there is a definite improvement in braking. I haven't had a chance to do any high speed braking yet or seen how late I can brake into a corner yet, but I will! The braking feel is more immediate and it took a little to get used to the "grabbing" feel, but it's ok now.

I need to find some curvey road and take off the skid control so I can see how the rears feel when I brake after turning. Should kick out the rear a bit more, I think.
Thanks, again.

Looks good Cecil.

The light blue hue blends in nicely w/the rest of the car.

welcome to clublexus! another member from hong kong! you live in central? i just came back from there early this month, didn't see a lot of soarer/sc430 though. you got a lot of stuff done to the car!!!! wish i saw it in person!

i guess having our own garages here help, some of us at least tend to try things out before calling for help but of course, people like lee (pearlpower), people call HIM for help
