Red face Curtain thingie in the trunk....

Hi all....

Anyone know anything about buying the curtain thing in the trunk aftermarket? I was bright enough to put a folded beach chair under it, thinking "This should be flat enough, right? " WRONG!!!! After hearing a horrible crunch and crashing sound, ran out to find the bolted parts pulled out of the back (and plastic area broken, of course....). Lexus wants over $600 to replace.....looks easy enough, even for a novice, if I can find one....

Top still works, but looks pretty bad.....

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I'm certainly not knowledgeable as I've owned our '04 for only a couple months. However, do know there are "interrupt" switches located in the "screen handle's slot" that will not allow the top to move unless that handle is in position. For the interim, if your handle is not broken, should be able to put it in position and top will function correctly.

That tonneau cover will cost you about $500.
I think CL vendors could give you a good deal @ $420 if you are unable to find an used one.
