TPMS, can it be used on a non "Run Flat" tire?
My low pressure indicator light lit up on my dash and after having the dealer check the pressure in my tires, they told me one of the sensors must have gone bad.
I was going to be changing the tires to non Run-Flats anyways so I was wondering if I can use the TPMS on non Run-Flat tires and is there anyway to know which TPMS went bad without going to the dealer?
Thanks!

yup yup....i'm on my second set of Michelin's non-run flat and so far never had an issue w/ the TPMS system.
If you're close to America's Tire, they'll have the tools necessary to check your TPMS h/w to see if there's any bad ones.
Recently, I just had my 2nd set of Michelin's non-runflat installed and they checked all sensors and made sure my tires/rims were counter-balanced correctly.

i don't really know to much about sc430 but most cars that come with runflats don't come with a spare tire, so if thats the case with the sc430 you might not wanna go that route and end up going out of town and get s flat and get stranded.

with the sc430 there is actually a spare option for the trunk. or people like me we just get another wheel as spare for long trips

ac7728,
After my new tires were installed, there was a minor vibration from the steering wheel for a few days.
I brought my car back to America's Tire and they double checked the fronts.
After the re-balance, one of the tires was off by a small margin.
This fixed the steering vibration. They did not charge me for anything.
That's pretty good service from them that I can bring it back anytime if there's any issues and they'll fix it for free.
BTW, if your car is lowered and/or has a kit, don't let them use a regular lift. They usually have low profile jacks that lift your car up. And make sure you give them your wheel lock and return it back to you.
