Using a Spacer on stock Rims
Has anyone used one of those Ebay Spacers on the stock rims to make them look less ridiculous? I'd love to bring the rims out to the edges of the fenders.
Anybody done this, and are there any issues in doing it?

I would recommend a 1" bolt on spacer as that is what is needed to bring those wheels out to the fender a bit. H&R make very good spacers which I have run in the past.
Not sure of the Ebay spacers but I would keep non- bolts on spacers to 10mm max due to the stud length.

agree, if you really have to use spacers, use h&r. no crappy ebay stuff. you drive a 60k lexus
and definitely get adapters, they are stronger and better setup since you probably want to push out quite a bit

I recently changed out the stock "dinner plate" wheels on my wife's '03 SC430 with the IS350 wheels, in chrome. They look great on the car. However, they don't fill out the wheel well area as well as the original wheels. When I asked the tire dealer about putting spacers on the car to move the wheels out more, he discouraged me from doing it. Saying it would compromise the integrity of the wheel and axel connection. Is that true? Can I safely put spacers on to move the wheels out?
Thanks
Thanks

spacer will put extra stress on suspension. sometimes you can use adapters which are a bit better but i am still against it. and you have to use at least 20mm in order to use it i believe

Can u please explain what u mean by bolt on spacer rather than wheel spacer?
If I use bolt on spacer to push out the stock rims , i do not need hubcentric rings
Thanks

Bolt on spacers do just that. They bolt on the existing hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer. Porsche has used this design successfully on the race track for years as it is safe which explains why I recommend H&R spacers. This allows all of the stud threads to be used and if it is safe enough for Porsche it it good eough for me.
None bolt on spacers are the real issue here as they reduce the amount of threads holding the lug nuts and I am just not comfortable with that.
