This is going to sound like a really stupid question but I am not going to pay $200 to get my windshield wipers changed by the dealer so here goes...How do you change the blades to the windshield wipers? In the off position the wipers are down low almost under the hood. I can't lift up the wipers in the off position to pull off the blade. When I open the hood, there is not enough room either. Am I being dense or is there a trick that I just dont know about?

How about the old trick of turning the car off while the wipers are running in the position that you want.

i can't remember exactly already but check the manual. does the sc430 has winter mode for the windshield wipers like the 2gs? if so, then you can pop them up higher so you can change them.

otherwise, like rcwelch said, that's pretty common way to do it

Boy do I feel like an idiot. Thanks so much. I just turned off the car w the wipers up. It seems odd that you have to do that to change the wipers but I guess it seemed too easy...and there must be a harder way
