Has anyone else seen the newest Autoweek Autofile on the SC430? They say 0-60 in 6.8 instead of the Lexus claimed 0-60 in 5.9 so what is the real 0-60? Has anyone put this to the test?

Yeh. I have yet to see the SC430 get near its claimed time. Why isnt this all over the press? WHy arent all the lexus fans pointing fun at it? They did with the Q and did it wrongly. Whatever. I could care less that it doesnt reach its time. I just love the interior.

Autoweek article was all in all a VERY positive and complementary report. The exclaimed about the excellent braking (60-0 in 118 ft.), however all testing was done on conventional tires. The Dunlop SPSport 230 tires did not receive any negative comments. It seem as though the only way to get a SC430 without the awful runfarts is to be a magazine writer. No one else is able to get the car with standard tires, however Lexus is very careful to provide all the auto mags with the Dunlops. (Test car provided by Lexus had all options but runflats)
Don't know if it it just me, but I smell a conspiracy here, as Lexus forces us to purchase the hot selling car with only runflats.
The dealerships have sold most of these cars without the chance of a test drive where the harsh riding run flats would reveal themselves. Most of us owners ordered our cars, and waited the months for it to come in.
Oh well, maybe I just need to go for a ride with the top down, and cool off.
WAR RUN FARTS!
