I have a question, has anyone ever looked into HID fog lights retrofit kits? I've seen H1 hid kits all over ebay for $100 shipped. Will our oem foglight housing for the SC fit these aftermarket hid bulbs? I know the ballast can be remotely mounted. Fill me in with your humble wisdom. Thanks again.

 

Yes you can install a HID kit but you need a H3 kit. Dont waste your money on those junk ebay kits. I just installed a H3 3000k kit in my fogs. I wanted that OEM Yellow color from the 2nd gen GS. I paid $230 for the kit and it had a liftetime warranty from www.aacstyle.com. Just make sure you install a good quality kit and your good to go

 

Thanks man, could you please post pics when you have the time, I would like to see the Cut off. I would hate for the fogs be overbearing.

i got the same h.i.d bulbs that are on the headlights...9005 or something like that as my fogs also...its nice working for the dealer =)

I have a brand new 6000K conversion kit for the fogs if you are interested. They are very high quality and include a lifetime bulb warranty along with a 3 year ballast warranty. Be careful of those Ebay kits, I know many people who have nothing but problems and horror stories to report. PM me if you want more info.

Check with Ken (hipendicular). His HID fogs are sweet and BRIGHT!!!

 

Just wait till you see you what I have coming for the 06 headlights I started the whole q45 retros scene on the 2nd gen GS
Heres my old GS back from 2004

 

I know of one member here that has HID fogs and they looked great at the last meet. Perhaps he will post some information on them.

 

Expensive but kick ***...
