Default FOUND: Experienced/Reliable LuxLink Installer on East Coast

I could have taken my SC430 to a professional shop to have the LuxLink installed but I was worried that they wouldn't know what they were doing. Yeah, they're professionals, but other threads have indicated that even experts have had difficulties.

I know when I do something, each time is easier than the one before because I figure out tricks and avoid trouble spots. So I wanted someone who had done this installation before and knew what he was doing.

I found sc430blue who posts in this forum. He's outside Baltimore, thus pretty convenient to the eastern seaboard. He did a GREAT job for me. He really takes his time and is careful and meticulous -- qualities I want when I turn over my car to someone!

Yeah, it was a bit of a drive to get there, but it was worth the piece of mind that the install would be done right without any damage to my sc430. A big thumbs up in my book.

I'm glad that the install went well. We put one in 2 weeks ago.

I asked the dealer about this and the mod only affects those areas which are modified. So if a crankshaft breaks, you're covered; if something happens to the top motor which can be directly traced to the LuxLink, then you're sol. I think there is a federal law on that.

Weny's mods to his 430 are sweet. I was sorta hoping he'd get confused over which car was mine and which car was his.

My car is good as a loaner if you want to use it as a camper, it doesnt have an engine...

The Luxlink is installed in parallel to the wiring harness. If necessary, all you would have to do is desolder and retape.

Thanks for the positive rep. It was fun learning to install the latest generation luxlink.
