What are the "ribs" in the main glove box for?

What are the "ribs" in the main glove box for?

In the back of the main glove box, there are two "ribs" close together, which seem like somthing fits between them, and then another "rib" about three inches in front of that.

Anyone know what they are for?

you mean the main armrest compartment right? (glove box is the one in front of passenger seat).

i have no idea, i asked it since day one and no one can ever answer me

If you're talking about the center "armrest" compartment, then those ribs are for storing your CD jewel cases.

Yeah, I meant the center console.

Cool pix, but these are in the lower compartment. If they are for CD's then Lexus expects that we will only have one CD!

You place them in upright (label up.) It fits 6 regular-sized CD's or 12 skinny ones.
