sc430 02/03 recalls
im looking in to purchasing an SC and was just wondering if there were any recalls or any maintenance issues i should check etc.. thanks

everyone will say do a "search", but since I'm in a good mood today, here's some of the items you'll find:
- up/down tilt passenger mirror
- trunk struts
that's all I can think of which I've encountered and haven't seen anything else since '03 (knock on wood).

I traded-in my `02 SC430 for an `04 (back in `04) because of problems with the top mechanism. One time, I had to drive the car to the dealer with the top stuck in mid operation! I recall that the dealer replaced the cables and struts (under warranty) and my mechanic at the dealership (whom I have know for many years) informed me that one strut alone cost $2800. However, no problems whatsoever with the `04.
