Twice in two weeks my windshield has cracked (unprovoked). Lexus replaced the first winshield then two weeks later it happened again. Both times it was a hot day, but the car was parked in a garage and was not in the sun.
Is anyone else out there having the same problem?

Not sure if it is politically correct to reference other forums here. But in order to provide fellow posters with the most info, I will. I have seen this issue talked about some on the Edmunds.com SC430 forum. Seems as though this isn't an isolated event. Not sure about the circumstances, but it would be worth the looksie to see what others who have experienced this issue are saying.

I have a crack on my windshield that's halfway across the glass. I think it started with a small rock chip in the corner then the crack developed after I parked it outside for 8 hours during the day. It was about 75 degrees outside...not that hot. Anyways, insurance is covering it...just gotta schedule an appointment. I highly recommend glass coverage on this car.

I have a 2002 model with no problems and many trips to Vegas and Death Valley with 100+ temps. (Wondering if the early models have better luck with this.)
There have been three or four reports during each of the last three years here. (So the Edmunds post seems valid.) Do a search here and you'll see the other reports.
I believe Pearlpower has a post on how the install must be meticulously done, or else...
