The Normal tires will fit on the Rims of my Lexus?
I had a shop tell me that they would not seat right on the
Org Rims.
I have had other tell me they will be just fine no problems

i just put 4x ContiExtreme standard tires (P245/40ZR-18) on stock 18" rims for my 2003 SC430, and they fit just dandy! I haven't seen any tire pressure warning on dash. thus, I assume all 4 sensors are working too!

Snobirds from WI,, I'm a previous "up'r",,, though in that part of the country!! Yes, normal (non-runflat) tires on OEM rims works just great. I picked up an '04 this spring with 16K on her and original runflats. Wouldn't pass inspection here in MD,, and,, couldn't stand the hard ride which I was aware of due to this forum. So, went on tires.com and they recommended a local tire dealer in my area that could mount tires with the TPS system in our SC's. Went with Bridgestone Potenza 960, and what a difference,,, only way to go,, and my rims are original Lexus. Do it,, never look back, it's great. Get some towing insurance for $12 per year,, and forget the spare... When is the last time you had a flat??

lugnuts,
I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said (except "forget the spare)! We just replaced the run-flats on ours after 12K miles and put on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on the original rims and it's a night and day difference.
I have the Conti-Kit (I know, I know...might screw up my TPMS sensors) but, even with that, the wife would not let me go without a spare. We take too many trips down into rural middle-o-nowhere Virginia (where her parents live) and up into rural middle-o-nowhere West Virginia (where my parents live).
I considered only having the spare in when we take trips and not bothering with it around town but, I live on the 10th floor in a condo so, it's not as easy for me to take it in and out as it is for the folks with an actual garage attached to their house.
I will say that the SC trunk with the Lexus spare tire kit installed is an absolute joke. With the top down, it's useless. Thank God they included that beautiful leather-clad parcel shelf behind the front seats.
