I just got my new and first Pebble Beach limited addition sc 430 and I notice that there is warm air coming out of the fan when I only want to run the air without having to have the air conditioner on. The dealer told me that is normal in a Lexus (this is my first Lexus) I never had this problem. Where the top is down the air outside is cooler then the air that comes out of the fan. Can anyone comment on this.
For next question guys; I am not the cleanest person and I hate to wash or clean cars, I like this car and I will like it to stay as clean (stain free) as possible for as long as possible. There is the protection package that you can have put on in the dealer that protects your car for 5 years, they claim, the question is this? Is this the best I can do to protect both the outside and the inside of the car (short of having to clean it all the time, and that will just not happen).
Any (Helpful) advice is welcome,

congrats on the car and welcome to CL!!!
how warm is the air? kind of weird though. i am sure in winter time when it's COLD out there, if i just turn on the fan and no AC, the air are pretty cold too
about the protection, seriously, imho, nothing. there is no good protection that will last a long time. it's a maintenance item

Welcome to CL and congrats on your PB SC.
This issue sounded familiar so did some looking around.
Hope this helps:

Never go for the "protection package" offered by any dealers though, they are usually WAY overpriced, it's just a way for them to make hundreds of dollars(at least) more from the customer.

The dealer "installed" package sometimes refered to as 'mop and glow'
is nothing more than a light spray on sylicone type wax. If you notice they usualy offer a free renual of the product. This is an advantage to them to get you to return for service. The guarantee is only an insurance policy that will pay off in the unlikely event you have a claim.
Their cost is probably about $10 plus one hour of labor from the clean up guy.
You can buy a similar product at any auto store.
Part of the joy of owning a fine automobile is keeping it looking good. If you don't take care of your car you might as well just drive a junker.
The 430 is one of the easiest cars I have ever had to wash. I use a long handle soft brush. Takes me all of about 10 min to wash and dry. Then about every week or 2 I give it a good detailing.
Or you could just go to a drive thru for about $20.

Congratulations on your new SC!
As for keeping your car looking good may I suggest a clear bra, weekly hand washes, seasonal waxes, and professional detailing once a year. You will be amazed at how your car will look better than it does now.
Good luck!
