I am thinking about selling my 02 SC430 it has 43k miles. My question is what should be a reasonable price I should ask for it. I have seen these any where from $30k $39k range. Its Silver with Ecru interior. I just dont like tha car at all due to the fact that its way too small I need the SC400 again. anyways..what should be my asking price for a quick sale any ideas

I'd take a look at Kelley Blue Book, NADA, and Edmunds to get a feel for the going rate from their research data. Then I would take the advice of Pearlpower and look at Autotrader.com and Cars.com to see what similar vehicles in your area are selling for. From there, I would price the SC making sure I have left some wiggle room. So that in the end, you have gotten close to what you wanted. I say this since no one pays asking price, unless you are too low to start with! Good luck!

30k is probably more like it. the price of sc430 dropped quite a lot the past yr. my 05 sc430 with 36k miles, it was priced for 40k at most (if i was lucky to actually sell it). yours is a 02 and 10k more miles.
since the sc430 style is so old now (6 yrs effectively) and the new sc will be around the corner soon, i expect the price to continue to drop pretty quick

I agree with rominl...about 30k is a good selling price for that mileage. I bought a 2002 w/94K miles on it for much much less. The market $ for the 2002 is around 26K - 32.5K. Of course it would depend on how well the car has been taken care of and records of maintenance etc.
Don't always look at asking price from individuals and car lots.....look at the sold price. That should give you a pretty good idea on where you want to be.
Hope that helps.

Well I took the car into Local Carmax today and they made me a cash offer of $26900 + $950 in Tax savings. I am thinking about advertising it for a week in a local news paper for $28000 and see if some one pays me that much if not then Ill just sell it to carmax.
Thanks for the advise every one.

No . . . . not Carmin (MINimum instead of MAXimum)! From my experience, they have always been very low. I have taken several vehicles to them for the free buy quote they offer. Every time I have been able to sell, or even trade-in my vehicles for way more than they offer. I certainly wouldn't gauge value off of what they say.

I sold my Lexus IS300 for $3,000 over what Carmax offered. Last time I will ever go there. While I was waiting I looked at other car prices and they are overpriced too. They love their little warranty they give, but who cares, if the car is under factory warranty.
