Banged up my car.

tragic, really tragic. there goes the result of not wearing seat belt. looking at the condition of the car, had she worn the seat belt, she probably could have walked away with minor injuries.. that looks like a body bag covering the body?

Geez. . . . i'll have to agree with Rominl . . . . it looks and reads as if the most damage was to the passenger side of the car. Had she had that seatbelt on, she may have survived. Wear those belts folks! Oh and not to be forgotten, tough luck D-MAN63. Here's to getting the SC back to form!

Thank goodness that your car suffered the physical damage and not you! My WORST fear is hitting a deer because they seem to dart out of nowhere! There are a lot of deer along my route to work and it's very early in the morning when I'm driving, so it's usually just me and the deer. I, too, drive at 30 mph along this route. I'm glad you're OK! I grew up in Massachusetts where it was not unusual for a driver (or their passenger) to be killed when they drove into a deer.

Thanks everyone for the support I was in a weird situation because I was going like 30mph, and just few seconds before it happened I remembered a car behind me kinda close , almost tailgating..and then the deer jumped out like 2-3 feet in front out of nowhere. So if I would have braked, then I would have got hit pretty bad in the rear but if I tried to drive out of the way from the deer to the left, I would have had a head on collision with the oncoming car.
Damage est like 3k-4k. I am not used to seeing deer running across the h-way because I don't travel where deer's are abundant. It could have been ALOOT worse. I can thank my 20's because with 20's I drive slow in general. Yes my job is covering the damage, my GM is a class act and appreciate what he is doing. I will not be going to Westchester anytime soon.
Damn, my condolences to the person who got killed in the red SC.

lucky u came out with relatively minor damage compared to what could have happened! i hit a deer a couple years back in my previous car going about 40 in some fog. 5k in damage later, I was back on the road. scary situation indeed

I am sorry to hear about the incident. Hope that your SC will be restored to your satisfaction. These kind of things happen and most are just unavoidable. As I drove home this evening, a cat jumped out from nowhere as I turned a corner. A cat probably would not do as much damage as a deer but still don't want to deal with any bloody mess. Good luck!
