Default Never Go To Discount Tire For Tires!!!

I went to discount tires to get new tires and I spend a grand for new tires... this was back during summer. They broke off the tire pressure sensor on my car and never told me. I was driving around with a clicking sound on it. Well long story short I took it back and they blame it on my breaks or something so I took it to my local auto shop ( great person he rebuild my engine on both my sc430 and my LX460) well I found out it was something in the tire. I took it back to discount tire and well we had a long talk before they agree to take out the tire for me with me standing there to see whats in there. Well there goes my tire pressure sensor falling out. I almost cried 600 dollars for one. Well I got them to replaced it for me. But they can't reset my tpms light. And refuse to reset it. And do not really care.

I haven't had any issues with Discount Tire. I think that like any chain, the quality of each individual store varies from place to place.

The quality of the service like anywhere else is depedant on the quality of the people. You should have contacted the DM for the area for further review.
I have been to bad dealers, Discounts, Americas Tire,etc.. and then some good ones.

I personally have had no problems with Discount Tire. They have serviced my 4 vehicles for years without an issue. I agree with the previous post...one can have a problem with any service store. Agree, some are better than others, however the store nearest to my 20 has done a super job.

Maybe a call or e-mail to their HQ's may help. Hope things go better for ya.

sorry to hear about your trouble. i wouldn't go as far as downing the whole discount tire, it's all about independent shop, or even the techs. just like there are some stupid and bad sales at lexus dealership either, that doesn't mean no more lexus

I have good and bad experience with discount tires.

One time I went in to get tire balancing and the guy asked me why. I told him I had vibration at 60mph and he told me balancing wont work, and insisted that I get an alignment. After going back and forth a bit, he finally decided to balance my tires. Drove on the freeway and what do you know...no more vibration
