02 pie plate replacement

Does anyone know what "Take-off" means where it lists the item's condition?
I'm familiar with "new", "used", "gently used", etc. But, "Take-off"? Does that mean they took them off some unsuspecting guys SC in the parking lot?
I've got the OEM star-shaped inserts for my '03 factory wheels (CPO car, came that way) and wow, what a difference between these and the pie plates!
I know they're still factory rims but, I haven't really seen anything I like for a reasonable price...and the wife WILL NOT let me spend $1,000.00+ on something that just makes the car "look nicer".

I bought a nice CroNiMoV4 whatever allen wrench and took a iron tube and gently and slowly managed to removed 37 of 40 screws. Let the pictures speak for themselves. Almost impossible to get the last 3 screws off. No idea which japanese engineer invented this. Damned.... Note the corrosion and the rounded screw.......

not chrome, but stars..
not chrome, but stars..
Don't even bother ordering from here, just got an email saying that they're out of stock on these. I really want these star caps, but I want them in silver, not in chrome. Anyone know somewhere else I can get them?

Has anyone ever considered replacing their wheels with the Teleios wheels that Lexus sells for the LS460? Would they even fit; they are 18 X 8 bolt 5 X 120 but the offset is 32? I think they are sharp looking wheels that might look quite nice on the SC430- if they would work. I don't own a SC430 but am considering replacing a BMW 335i cab with one as the seats are causing me a back problem.
