SC430 Solvang Mini Meeting- Solvang, January 26,2008-POSSIBLE RAIN
#17
Okay, so what do people think about after Thanksgiving and before the Christmas craziness? Say December 1st or 8th?
As Lee stated, what about Santa Barbara? Say meet somewhere to get parking and just walk over to eat so we won't go through the madness of last time. Then a nice drive up or down the coast (preferably down so we can drive next to the ocean instead of the mountain. I know that the fires should be down by then. Hopefully, it doesn't rain because that could be REALLY bad.
Opinions?

I know of many places we can meet on the coast. I love the drive up to Santa Barbara and frequent the area. If I can get a ball park of how many cars will be attending and what everyone would like to do I can put together an itinerary. Then everyone can decide if they wanna go along with it.
options include but not limited to....
I know mike also knows the area, so maybe he can chime in and give his opinions.

- Cruise around then stop for food
- Meet in central location, park then walk around and enjoy the sights
- Meet at the restaurant then head out for a cruise...

If it's SB, then I'm down for the drive from the 'Yay area.
I may get a couple of folks to join me if they're willing to to take the 2 1/2 hour drive.
If not, it'll just be me.
But don't plan on SB around me cause I don't think the Norcal folks
wanna drive that far (unless I'm wrong).
But whatever you decide, if it's in Socal, then have fun,
but if it's halfway, I'm willing to put some miles and feel the love for y'all.......
Here's the most current NorCal contingency members

This is quite a NorCal group we have here and the numbers keep growing.
Unfortunately, those that don't have a star have yet to attend a meet,
and those that have a star have attended a meet w/ either the SC430 or one of the annual meets in the past.
Don't worry, there'll be more meets to come and this upcoming one proves to be a scenic and breath-taking cruise.

I know of a park named Nojoqui Falls County Park, It is a few minutes away from Solvang and it is beautiful. The park itself is about 100 miles north of L.A and it’s easily accessible off of the 101 freeway. I have been there many times and it is one of the most scenic parks around, If we decide to go there we would have to bring our lunches.... maybe a quick stop at a subway, or make our own sandwiches, or possibly BBQ (they provide BBQ's and picnic tables)
After lunch we would take Alisal Road into Solvang to enjoy their desserts/pastries and then walk around for a bit.
Here are some websites about the park, there are ample amounts of parking, clean restrooms, and tons of room to stretch out and relax.

If in Monterey area I am in.. Might be cool to do this during race seasons in Monterey especially after the last 2008 production year of this future classic car.. You can add me to the Nor Cal list.. Thanks, Jim

Hey so whats happening with the SoCal meet? Who's down.. maybe getting a list going, will help???
If the Norcal guys step up, lets do another SLO meet.. Or maybe even a mini-run thru some canyons in Ojai? Plus that means both sides can do a caravan..
