I can't tell you if they fit or not but it woudl have to be a pretty radical application if they do.

Not only will it need modifications, it will look very very very very very very very very very very very very very odd and disproportionate, giving how small the SC 430 is.
The only Lexus car where 22s not only fit but look GREAT is the new LS 460 L or 600h L. Otherwise its overkill and you will simply destroy the ride and suspension.

Well I think if an IS350 can fit 22's why not a SC430??? I mean when the 21's went on the SC we all started drooling, so I say tell ya brother to do the foot work with the Rim shop he plans to buy the wheels, & if he is feeling adventurous take after Nike & just do it!!! Post some pics when its complete, & Good luck!!!

Any IS with 20s is stretching it. Over 20s it just looks odd. Now I can understand if put your car in car shows and compete and want the "wow" or "I'm bigger" looks. However, to drive around, I cannot recommend it.

Lexus builds these cars with certain specifications in mind. Going outside those specifications contrasts what their engineers designed the car for.

But my point is, is he is thinking about pushing the envelope on the 22's, than why not go for it if it will work!!! That’s why I said do the foot work (research) on it & if it will work do it!!! It’s all on how aggressive he wants to be!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I say keep it classy, slap some 20s, drop, and he'll be more than happy. If he wants to push the envelope and be aggressive maybe he should go for a wider fitment.

I would hardly call squeezing the largest wheel possible on a car "pushing the envelope". The whole DUB mindset is so ridiculous now... 22's on an SC

"can" and "should" are two different things. i mean, if you measure the pure size of the wheel well, you can probably fit 26" wheels, why not go do it, i am sure with enough modifications to the fenders, anything would fit. remember the h2 with 40" or whatever?

but can doesn't mean should. even the 3gs with 22s i think is too much already, whole thing is out of ratio. let alone the drivability. try put 22s on and make a FULL LOCK turn left or right

It shouldn't look that bad...some guy was selling some 22" in the wheel classified that he had on his G35. I think that car is a little smaller than a SC430 and the car looked sweet

This is not the pic from the classifieds but I just wanted to give a visual...

in general club lexus is very conservative. Most people dont want to modify their cars or cut fender liners ect. putting 22's would be extreme for most people in club lexus. But I think its possibly. Turning would seem to be the most difficult part, the rear seems to have room. I think 21 up front and 22's in the rear would be alot easier. But if you like the look and it makes you happy go do it and forget what everyone else thinks.
