I have a hill to get out of my neighborhood. On past cars, I've had to resort to cables to get up the hill, then take them off when I reach "civilization."
Has anyone used chains/cables on the SC430? Results? Advice?

I'd also like to know the answer to this one.
I've seen JohnnyCake's driveway and street...he's not kidding! I can't imagine a snow plow doing much for his road. Plus, all those nice trees keep the sun from melting any ice/snow.
I love the idea of a separate set of snow tires but, (as I've mentioned in previous threads about this) it's not really an option for me due to space limitations.
JohnnyCake: I think your biggest problem might be the fact that many of the guys here are California guys and gals. Snow chains aren't exactly popular out there!
Growing up in rural WV, a lot of guys used snow chains but, they needed them for the entire trip. What happens if you only need them like to get out of the neighborhood? Around here, once I get on the interstate, things are usually OK; it's getting there that's the problem.

Here's what I found:

We're definitely talking cables, as I don't think chains would meet the Class S standards.
On past cars, I've used the ladder cables, but in reasearching this I read that the diagonal might be more effective.
Wish someone had some experience to share.
