I want a new driver Seat?
hello all, my driver seat doesn't feel "fresh" anymore. Sitting on the passenger seat (no one sits there ever since I got the car, well hardly no one) feels soo much better than the driver seat, the driver seat seems worn out. The lumbar support isn't there anymore compared to the passenger seat, due to being sat on sooo many times.
1. how much is a new driver seat?
2. if i took the original seat to a upholstery shop, for "reStuffing" to get the new firm feel, how much will that cost?
anyone? thanks

Seats do come up from time to time, see them from $200-$350.00 depending on condition. If your leather is good you may want to consider taking it in which would cost no more than $100.00 for new inner material.

how long will leather recoloring last????
hello all, thanks for the response,,,,
I'm getting the driver seat only for "restuffing" of new foam materials to get that new firm seat feel again.....also,
my leather all in the driver side ofcourse, including my inner door handles, is that the leather is scuffed from using it too much.
is it ok to recolor the leather to hide the leather scuff marks?
how long will the recoloring of leather last? one year or longer?
thanks

Usually from my experience when you recolor the leather it fades back to what it used to look like fairly fast I would say 1-3 months depending on how often you grab the handle to close the door. u might want to look in to maybe finding a good condition used one at a salvage yard or try to get an upholstery shop to re upholster the whole thing(just make sure they use the same leather or it might look funny).
ps. i had the same problem with my driver side door handle and i just went with a good condition used one from a salvage yard. there are pleanty of them nationwide and you should be able to find one in your color no problem.

WOW RIGHT IN TIME FOR WINTER TO LOL. TAL **** DO YOU REALLY HAVE THAT ON YOUR RIDE? JK IM SURE IT MAKE IT MORE COMFORTABLE. I STILL THINK FOR THE DOORS IT’S BEST TO NOT PAINT THEM BUT TO JUST FIND A GOOD CONDITION USED ONE AND FOR THE SEATS IF THE COLOR IF FADING OR IF YOU HAVE CRACKS YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK IN TO FINDING THOSE ALSO. IM JUST NOT A FAN OF REPAINTING ANYTHING BECAUSE IT DOSNT LAST. NOW IF YOU’RE GOING TO SELL THE CAR THAT’S A DIFFERENT STORY. ANGAIN JUST MY OPINION.

I would not recomend to dye the leather like i said above and if you need a seat look around at salvage yards nation wide and you sould find one in good condition.
