Default Nav Disc removal ?

I just purchased a 02 Sc430. The previous owner updated the nav to the 2005 verison.I wanted to clean the disc and the unit because of erratic performance, but when I opened the door on the unit the disc did not come out. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

You have to slide the switch COVER to the side, then stick your finger inside the opening and press the eject button. I think the car has to be on also.

You should be able to find that DVD disc following the steps I posted via the link below. Don't forget to turn the ignition on first.

BTW, the correct answer to JillBS's question is his gen 2 nav has a laser head failure.

I have seen many 02 SC430 with a broken gen2 nav on ebay so far and the sellers are not very honest.

"NO DISC DETECTED" = $$$$$$$$$$(-->you need a new $5,000 nav dvd player)
