The fact is this car is 5-6 years ahead of the automotive industry. Wheels, Exhaust, Intake, Electronics only make what is ahead of the rest better.

Do what you want. Knowing that the rest of the automotive world is copying at best...... G35, 350, G6, Solaris, etc. etc. ....

Buy the bike... I am looking to buy a bike as well (a GSX-R) and my suspension can wait. My SC has become my daily and I drive it everywhere. Compared to my lowered GS (Tein CS), I like not worrying about bumps and ditches.

Update:
Biting my words now...just bought the Tien CST. But still looking for a bike, just a cheaper one now. I guess if you were to lower your car go with the Tien CST or other coilovers. You can always sell them later; I think it is harder to resell springs.

Update: Got my bike...03 Gsxr 750...So do both. IMHO

I drive all the same roads you do and I'm low... stupid low and it's hasn't really been an issue. To give you an idea my car's an 04 and I'm getting ready to turn 65000 miles. I lowered the car before it had 3000 miles on it. I've always run Dunlop Sports and I find them to give excellent milage. I've done the 65K on 2 1/2 sets of tires. The 1/2 set being winter tires. I rotate between the 20s and the winter tires on the stock wheels depending on conditions. The winter set hasn't seen much action this year!! As PearlPower mentioned the tires did wear unevenly, but in my case not really faster. So lower away especially if you already have the 20s.

I may be able to help you out in the exhaust department in a few weeks if you're interested.

If you have stock wheels on the car, then lowering is optional. However for my personal tastes, if the car has a larger wheel mounted then it MUST be lowered.

I'm sort of like bt, I have never owned a car that was NOT lowered.

My 7series was stupid low as well, and I drove it all over NYC, NJ, and down to shows in VA / DC, etc. I never had a problem. (My wife even drove it a few times)
