I was wondering if anyone who has removed the rear spoiler can tell me if there are holes left behind in doing so. Hopefully it’s just stuck on with adhesive. Thanks!
yeah, I think there will be holes too IIRC. Plus I've seen pic of car without spoiler(it used to be an option in the beginning) -they are very rare, I think it looks blah without it ...
I have a thread where I swapped the oem out for a Toms spoiler. Try a search for it. Yes, there were holes so a repaint would be required. It is held down with double sided tape and a few nuts (holes).

believe it or not, even for the new gs350, that tiny piece of spoiler, they have holes....
I dunno what it is, but I dig it without the spoiler. Thanks for the info guys, lets me know what Im in for prior to removal.
I dont dislike it without the spoiler, but at some angles it does look a little naked. I think my car is looking a bit too round with the Wald kit so if I add the Behrman spoiler might enhance its lines, going up at the back rather then down might take some of the roundness out.
I just looked in my factory repair manual:
1. Remove luggage compartment door cover (19 push snaps)
2. Remove 2 nuts
3. Apply protective tape on the lid exterior
4. Heat the spoiler to 104-140 degrees
5. Use piano wire with blocks on each end to scrape adhesive
6. Remove the 5 clips and 3 pins
It's not clear how you can scrape the adhesive through the 5 clips.
Also, this is assuming you want to re-use the spoiler.
yes, i would just choose a warmer day that's it. i use fishing line (40lb), and just work my way through. when doing it, also pull "away" from the trunk lid so you reduce rubbing on the trunk as much as possible
For other people who may be interested in doing this same mod, it may be helpful if you take step-by-step pics and provide any tips/issues you have while going through the process. May be worth adding to the FAQ thread once you're done.
My 2007 Black on Black had the spoiler removed. Required filling holes, repainting deck for about $600 down in Florida.
I'd like to remove the spoiler off my 2004 Silver on Black SC 430 and, if possible, cover the remaining holes with a smaller spoiler from a third party vendor - Toms or Behrman(?) - and use the previous monies spent - $600 - on filling holes for this unit if it can cover the remaining spaces. From whom can I purchase a Behrman usnit?
