Default New wheel, repair or live with it

OK so long story short last night I curbed a wheel turning a corner. Its not bad about 3.5 linches long and very thin scar. In fact I doubt anyone but me would even notice it.

So if it were you which route woudl you take?

if it bugs you, do it. then again, it also depends how careful of driver you are. it'd suck to get it fixed, then 2 months later curb it again.

If you are as **** and particular about your car as many of us are, I would explore the repair option first and depending on repair cost, I would consider a replacement.

Pretty much all oem wheels on most cars are an easy repair. The after market wheels on my SC are easily refinished and Ive had them done in the past no problems. The wheels on my other car (again after market) different story as they have a chrome cover around the rim.

If you can then I would as a nasty scuff can lead to corrosion.

Do you have pics of your rims?

Maybe it is time to which to something different.

Try on new kicks, feed your addiction.

If I hardly notice it then I wouldn't even bother with it. I may check to see if I can get it fixed and how much the repair cost, depending on the cost then I'd make the decision. I'm not too particular about my car, as long as it runs right and the top works then I'm good. I know other folks here wash/wax the ride on the regular, and that works for them. Just not me.

I get my car washed once a week, and handwaxed 3 times a year so I guess I can be a little particulair about it. I think its even smaller than I described, I only ever see it because I know where to look, even then there are times when I have to search for it.

If it's so small that you have to look for it sometimes, then I wouldn't even consider doing anything about it. Since it bugs you, then maybe you can get a new wheel and sell the current one on e-bay. With a scratch so minimal, I'm sure somebody else would be willing to buy it. You may also just want to try to buff it out - something that small may be pretty easy to buff, even on a wheel.
