Default Brake noise

The first time I heard the clink from the brakes was in the garage. Usually is loudest after a reverse stop.....sounds like the pads slip and slid back-n-forth. The owners manual state it is normal. Is it true? Do all the SC's make this "clink" sound?

This is the most common complaint of Lexus, Nissan, etc....cars with two piece calipers and has been discussed so many times on this forum that there is no sense reposting it.

Check the following threads I pulled up via search on remedies.

There are plenty more, but bottom line is always be aware and reactive to noise when braking, but the noise described above is very common and normal to a degree but can be eliminated with a good mechanic. Hope that helps.
