Default Inexpensive way for new gears w/o LSD?

Is there a used rear end from another car that will fit the SC with the 376 gears and no limited slip?

20" wheels have really slowed down my car. Noticed the difference again when I put the stock wheels and tires back on.

Thanks,
Mark (da-bizket)

I had the same question, could I just get a SC400 rear end and use that. I really don't care for the LSD, I just want the increase in performance.

you probably already know this. but it's not the diameter of the wheels, it's the width. mine are 9.5" in the rear. which didn't have much of an effect. some people go up to 11" for the look. but it drains your torque. personally, i wouldn't go that wide with anything short of 400hp.

Thanks for the response Jason, but my concern is whether or not an sc400 diff will work with our setups.

It was my understanding that we need the lsd from the 6-speed auto mk4 supra +97

the thing is we dont NEED the LSD, people choose to install the supra lsd rear end. I personally do not want the lsd, but I do want the gearing. so since there is no supra 3.76 non lsd I am looking into the SC400 3.92.

my question to anyone with experience when it comes to gears, will I bounce off the rev limiter before the car shifts gears? or will the car rev higher but shift like normal?

i was just throwing that out there if the rear end doesn't work out. you also might try inflating your tires to 40 psi. my car is actually quite a bit more responsive off the line at 40 than 35 - less contact with the road so less friction. that's not exactly what you're looking to hear. but it might help a little.
