Some Simple Luxlink Questions
The firs one being when I use the auto start my car runs for 4-5 minutes and then shuts itself off. Is there anyway to extend the time to say up to 15 minutes? I can be a little chilly here somedays (its was 26 when I left home this morning) and it needs a little longer to actually get warm.
The second is I want to make sure I understand the controls (although some of this is theoretical as my installation is not complete):
Let down windows - Hold unlock.
Start car - unlock, lock, lock.
Let down top - Hold unlock and release while windows are going down.
I assume that windows up and top up are the same steps?

The "run time" is programmable. There's a small button that's hooked to the LuxLink box. You use that to program both the "run time" and the "startup delay" (how long before the car starts).
The controls you mentioned look right to me. As far as I know, once you roll the windows down remotely, there's no way to roll them back up remotely. However, if the top is down, when you press and hold the unlock button and release it about the same time you would to make the top go down, it'll go back up AND roll up the windows.

It's a little switch that's attached to the LuxLink module via a short cable. As to WHERE it is, that depends on the person who installed the LuxLink module in your car. It could be almost anywhere but, I think the wire was only 6 or 8" long so, it shouldn't be too far from the LuxLink module itself.
Some installers actually mount the switch in an accessible place but, when I had mine done, I told him not to bother as I didn't see myself needing access to reprogram the unit on a regular basis. As it turns out, I was right. I've had the unit for over a year and haven't once needed to press the Valet switch. And, yeah, I have no idea where it is on my car either but, I'm sure I could find it if I went looking for it.
