Sirius radio install
I've been considering a sirius satellite radio system for my 2005 SC. I do not want to replace the existing audio system but am going for a "neat" way to do this. Idea's appreciated. JEH

OK, I have reviewed the literature on this subject and it looks like what I need to do is get the appropriate wiring harness from VAIS and then have the radio unit installed. I have had Circuit City do installations on other cars and I guess I will let them work on the SC. I am not going to tackle it. I would seem to me that if the unit is place in the ashtray or the center console it would work out to be a neat installation. I just don't want a bunch of wires visible. As close to hidden as possible. Anyone have any other idea's? The visor installation sounds interesting but I am not certain I see any advantage to that over the ashtray. If the antenna could go on the package shelf that would nice rather then the outside of the car but I will let the installer opine on that. JEH

The vias control unit and the sirius unit both install in the console. Very easy to install I did it in 45 miniutes. Antenna sits on dash close to passenger pillar.
Sirius works by pressing the am radio button then press it again for sat 1 then again for sat 2 then again for sAT 3. This gives you 18 channel presets
you get the benifit of having no wires showing no boxs etc to clutter. Plays right through the mark levenson stero system sound is awsome. Control the unit through the steering wheel just like you control the radio cd tape etc .should cost you 250.00 for the equipment and then install it yourself .
