Conversion from U.S. to Metric (Canada) Options
Greetings,
Wondering if someone can clarify what's available to change measurement units in the SC.
For instance, the heating/cooling system probably is optionable to either US Fahrenheit, or Celsius. Is this a CBEST setting? Or is it user programmable in the car?
I am sure the Odometer is set at Miles on a US destined car. Correct?
Thanks for the help.
Jerry

I don't know of any way to switch the climate control from Fahrenheit to Celsius. I just took a quick look at the CBEST settings and didn't see anything.
The odometer, as you guessed, is in Miles and again, I don't know of nor have I heard of any way to switch it. The speedometer has both scales.
It's very possible that there's some hidden setting somewhere to switch the logic from English to Metric.
I took a quick look in the service manual I've got...was looking to see if they list different part numbers for the climate control unit (an English and a Metric version) but, I couldn't find a part number/numbers.

Thanks Habious,
I will be shocked if it's not possible. I mean, my 87 Cressida did it. But then again, I'm old enough to do the math. Metric was introduced in Grade 4 for me, so I'm what I call 'practical bilingual'. Speaking French where I live would be called "impractical bilingual'.
