I had this very same problem when I bought my SC430 and found no spare. I found an Infinity 16" spare that I still have, would fit with a 20mm spacer. I did not like the idea of having so little thread contact on the studs even though it was just to get me home or to the shop. It fit OK without the spacer on the rear but needed the spacer on the front to clear the Calipers. SO I found a spare tire kit for a Mazda RX8 would work. It is an 17" alloy spare with the same size tire as the Lexus spare. It comes with a bracket that you cannot use and a vinyl tire cover that made it quite attractive in the trunk area. I used a piece of quarter inch paneling and cut a new trunk floor piece to fit around the spare and the rest of the floor and painted it to match the gray carpet. I then just layed the original carpet back in place and it looks pretty nice. The RX8 kit is available at the Mazda dealership for around $275.00 including the spare tire. I got mine off of Craiglist for $175.00. I works perfect front and rear and has room for the larger Calipers if need be. Ther are three of them on Ebay right now. Here is a picture of the spare setup.

Just checked on Ebay the description says it's a 17" tire not 18" is that the right one?

It is definately an 17" spare. It is the very same size as the Lexus spare. I have one in my car and have fitted it to make sure it fits on the front and rear..... Look up the Sewell Lexus Ebay add for the Lexus spare size. I am telling you this is a sweet fit!
Sorry for the previous typo's!

Nice solution, I am also thinking of pulling off the RF and this would fit the bill for trips et al moreso than the over the top Lexus version.........

What is the Craiglist where you got it from.............please send us the link.

Craigslist is a local selling website that is centered into your local area. They are all over the US with different listings depending on where you live. It is sort of the luck of the draw as to what is for sale and when. Your best bet are the ones on ebay right now. That is even a better deal than I got. My luck! I will post pictures of what I did to outfit it to the trunck area. I thought that compared to the $600.00 that Lexus wants for the spare setup, the $200.00 Mazda version sounded like a steal. The main thing is that if I have a flat, I can get her home in one piece.

I looked up the specs on the RX8 And this is what it has
Brakes 4-weel ABS, Dynamic stability Control
Front 14inch(356mm) ventilated disc, 6-piston caliper
Rear 14.2inch(361mm) ventilated disc, 4-piston caliper
Here is the link....

Hope this helps! I know that when I fitted the spare to the SC430, there seemed to be quite a bit of clearence around the OEM brakes. Don't know about the upgraded ones though.
