That looks like the Wald Duchatelet II but it's probably a 1-piece version of the TOM'S V-Pieza wheels...it's a pretty generic and popular dish design (very popular in the Mercedes world)

Thanks manaray
My SC430 (Scarlatti with Rutland leather - or Red with Cream for you guys Stateside) is without doubt the finest car I've ever driven. Beats SL by a mile and is 20% better than the XK. (not driven new SL yet tho')
However (and this is only personal taste), the wheel design lets the car down badly. Unfortunately there's nothing else available in the UK so I'm searching for an alternative.
Thanks again for your help - I'll let you know if I get anything sorted

Hey LexUK, I was able to dig up some more information for you...
The wheel is called the VP-1. It's a 19" FORGED Aluminum 1-piece wheel. For the SC430, it comes in 19" x 8.5" +26 (Front) and 19" x 9.5" +34 (Rear). The recommended tire size is 245/35-19 up front and 285/30-19 for the rear.
The LIST price (in UK Pounds) is £445.55 for the 8.5" and £456.16 at the current exchange rate (03-FEB-02 @ 07:56 GMT)
Here's another picture of it also...hope you can use this info...

Those are about the most boring rims I have ever seen. They just look like a fancier edition of the stock wheels. I dont understand the facination of these rims, they are usually on Mercedes. Well, just my .02. To each their own.

LexusSC430 - While I agree with you on the design of the wheel, some people want a nice clean basic look...also, these are 1-piece forged wheels so they're of excellent quality and light (unlike most wheels like this which are cast and heavy as hell)
While this is not a wheel I'd do on my SC430, I can see some people liking this design.
If I had a SC, I'd probably do spoke wheel or the AutoCouture Magnifique or Supremes (for dish style) in 20"...

You're getting right into the root of why people and their cars are so fascinating - colours/trims/mods are all down to personal taste
My €0.023 says that the vehicle design on SC is so jaw-dropping it needs plain wheels to highlight the beauty of the chassis (as in the picture posted by manaray). I beleive stock wheels are too fussy, chrome is generally not well received in the UK and overall they detract from the exterior lines.
In the same vein LexusSC430 - a white SC430? You would be considered either very brave or very foolish (or both) to buy a white SC in the UK! But hey - what a dull place it would be if we all drove the same cars
Thanks again for your inputs - I'll get on with tracking down a wheel.
