Question Water streaking on driver's door glass

My brand new sc430 gets water streaks on the driver's door glass when the window is run down and then up. At first it streaked the window with water on the inside. I complained at the 1000 mile checkup. They told me that the outside felt sweep was touching the inside felt sweep and wetting the inside felt. Then when I rolled the window up, the inside felt wet/streaked the glass. When they returned it to me, the inside wetting was gone, but now I have outside wetting/streaking.

I don't have any streaking on the passenger door. At first I was worried that the door was leaking/holding water. Now I believe it is a matter of adjustment of the door glass or adjustment/replacement of the window gasket.

Anyone have a similar problem, or thoughts on how to proceed with mine. Don't want to be picky, but.......

I had some what appeared to be greasy streaking on the passenger side for a few weeks. But it's gone now.

As for water streaks, isn't that normal? Or are you suggesting that the gaskets are faulty and don't keep water out of the doors?

The greasey streaks may have been from the leather protector if you had it applied.

Is it normal? That is what I am wondering, since I don't have it on the other side. It definately wasn't normal when it was on the inside.

I don't think the door holds water, they must be designed to drain.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Its just the felt....outter side of it is rubber. Used to happen all the time on my Supra. Only pain in the *** was after washing it and rolling the windows down and then back up again...it would streak my freshly cleaned car windows. My solution was A)carry a rag B)insert a towel and dry it off as much as I could. Im not trying to be rude, but people are so damn picky. If the water is on the inside then thats a problem, but on the outside?????

As for the greasy thing i have those streaks, it appears to be from the rubber pieces attaching the two windows, but oh well
