Purchased my 2005 SC last year, 2022 , and it is the midnight pine! Great color but shows the dust 5 minutes after a wash. Must keep a cover on the car at all times so that it looks clean when I take it out for a drive. Many people see it and question if the color is black. Very hard to tell the difference on a cloudy day, better true color in the bright sun!

The color is rare and caught me eye the first time I saw one. I am pursuing the TA or one of the gold/sand colors. The saddle interior is preferable but it looks as though the purple only comes with the ecru interior.
I welcome any comments and suggestions. Thank you.

P.S. This is my first post as a newbie with Club Lexis and I am in anticipation of owning an SC430 very soon!

OBP - How beautiful is your car! Do you still own it? I am in search of a 2002 or any year with a clean record that I can afford. There is a 2002 Twilight Amethyst, online, with 69,000 selling for $15,200 a little over 125 mls from me, here in Raleigh, NC. What is your advise on this?

Good afternoon, I can't believe that my eyes have viewed two beautiful Tw. Amethyst in one day on Clublexus. As I posted earlier, I am in search of this very car. May I ask what you paid for the car in 2006? There is one on sale in NC, for $15,200 with 69,000 miles. Do you deem that a good buy? If not, what should I offer to the private owner, if the car is up to par? Which is best.... an older car with low mileage and in good order or a newer year with high mileage such as over 125,000?
I hope you are still enjoying your SC430 and I hope to have amethyst gem soon.
Thank you for any advice you may have in my pursuit of a purple or gold SC430.

Hello,
I have the Midnight Amethyst Pearl with sadlle leather. But as I am in London, England, I guess I'm not likely to be spotted by many of you guys. Mine's a direct import from Japan, so it's branded Soarer, not Lexus. I am sure you all know that Toyota only use the Lexus brand on export products (Luxury Export to the US). In Japan, what we call Lexus is always Soarer.
Here's a stock photograph. Sorry I don't have one of my actual car, but it looks just like this except that I chose saddle leather rather than the cream colour (can't remember what they call it..)
It's a stunning exterior colour and looks intriguingly different under different lighting conditions. I never tire of looking in the rear-view mirror to watch the heads turning....
