Default Blacked-out grill

What's the best way to black-out the grill and grill-trim on my SC ? Can the chrome be painted over? Any input is appreciated.

Some black tape would definitely do the trick. U could always peel it back if you don't like it

The chrome piece around the grill it a little difficult to get off. It's very easy to break the tabs that hold it on. I found after painting mine it chips and dings very easily. The grill is OK because it's plastic and takes paint fairly well but the chrome is a pain.
