Default Metal Shavings

I have noticed that there are a few very, very small metal shavings that end up on the drivers side rear seat and on the carpet in the trunk also on the drivers side. I assume they are coming from the top. Just two or three in each spot and not every time I raise and lower the top.
I have looked around the head liner hoping to spot some shavings so I can locate where they are coming from but nothing to be seen.
Anyone ever have this problem? If the headliner was a piece of cake to remove and reinstall i would take it off and look. It will be obvious as the wear marks of metal rubbing should be easy to spot.

Hmmm... thats a good teaser. Have you tried inspecting the area around the front windshield support where the roof meets?

I looked there and I don't see any wear marks at all. I also don't get any chips on the front seat, just from behind the front seat and in the trunk.
The top works great and doesn't make any strange sounds.
Tomorrow if I can find a chip I will put a magnet on it to see it it is steel or aluminum.
I'm talking three or so pieces about half the size of a grain of rice. Every week.
