Nav Touch Screen not working?

Just picked up my 2002 sc tonite. funny thing was happening the touch screen on the nav was not working for about 5 minutes from intial startup, kind of like the screen had to heat up a bit before i was able to use it? after i got home and turned the car off and half hour later started it up again the same thing happened. anyone have any ideas?

just bought the car today
, and the 2 times i've started up the car it has happened. the screen goes on , just when i try to touch something like the "i agree" button nothing happens. and by the way what is an ignition cycle?

...it's updating the Navi program. When I upgrade to the new version, there was this "lag" where the screen kind of just hung for a few minutes. Then it finally worked (like it need to load all the maps or something). From reading your other post, there's an outside shot that the DVD you have is the incorrect version?
