Default 120K mile service -- help needed

hey guys, our '02 SC430 is approaching the 120K mark, and my friend is a mechanic at toyota, and said he'd help me out with the service. According to the owner's manual, it seems like most every fluid needs to be changed out. I've had a bit of a tough time finding out which type of fluid and how many quarts, but this is what the dealer was able to tell me with regards to the '06-08 SC430, so I am assuming it is the same for 2002-onwards:

Oil: 5W-30 5.5 qts
Trans: ATF WS A761E (how many qts?)
Diff: Synthetic API GL-5 75W-90 1.42 qts
Coolant: Toyota Super Long Life Coolant (S-LLC) 10.46qts

the dealer didn't have more info than that, they said they have all the fluids hooked up to the hoses. I'm wondering about the brake fluid, and anything else I may need besides the spark plugs, A/C cabin filter, and air filter. I'm hoping my friend will hopefully be able to get most of these fluids thru toyota, since my dealer doesn't even offer them for sale! thanks in advance.

Default Would EZ Lube be a good alternative?

I have used EZ Lube service for fluid flushes on my vehicles in the past and the costs were quite reasonable. Every time I check prices for filters and fluids at Kragen and others, it seems EZ Lube's price is the same or less for the materials portion of their charge.

hey Russ, i'm sure EZ Lube would do somewhat of a competent job, but for the SC430, i feel like it deserves better. my friend is going to charge me $400 to do everything including fluids and filters. I've seen his work and i think his competence is worth my peace of mind. my local dealer wanted $1450 for the service, which I thought was too high.

Smile $400. is not bad

I would imagine EZ Lube would charge about that much or maybe even a little more. So if your friend is going to do the job at his shop after hours, that is a very nice arrangement. Kinda tough doing it in your drive way though, even if being able to watch and help is appealing.

my friend just finished doing the 120K service. definitely a lot to do, and it took him 3hrs. got the windshield replaced today too, as it had gotten quited pitted over the years. i can't get over how well this thing still runs, feels just like it did when it was new. now if only i can convince my dad to ditch the runflats finally!
