Wow, thanks for all the comments! I do live in the northern suburbs, but I have no idea if I'm close to Des Plaines. I moved here from California about 1.5 years ago, and still don't know much besides how to get down town and to work. As for the winter, hopefully I'll be in the position to buy an SC300 soon, otherwise, this thing's going in the snow.
